About The Position

This role involves independently operating a mechanical press, understanding quality gauging, and producing quality parts. The Press Operator II will assist in the tool set-up process, achieve first piece approval without assistance, and maintain a safe, clean work environment throughout their shift. They are responsible for meeting target production goals in a timely manner.

Requirements

Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Must be able to use hand tools.
Must be able to understand press controls, gaging, and all paperwork.
Must be able to sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs on a consistent basis.
Must have physical dexterity.

Responsibilities

Run both progressive and hand transfer tools.
Adjust press to maintain the quality of parts.
Produce parts per the Stamp PI process sheets.
Learn tool set-up functions and work on achieving a first piece approval without assistance.
Maintain a clean and safe environment.
Meet production requirements for the parts being ran.
Read micrometers, calipers, and scales.
Use gages required to maintain quality parts.
Learn and perform all functions in relation to QAD Inventory system.
Perform Quality checks correctly and at the proper times required.
Relieve other Press Operator II associates for breaks, lunches, restroom, etc.
Learn and perform job functions related to MQ1, and HDS One Stop programs.
Assist in rework activities as assigned.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
