The Press Brake Operator II is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC and manual press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Our ideal candidate has a solid understanding of machine setup, tooling selection, and quality standards, along with the ability to work independently on moderately complex parts. If you have a keen eye for detail, experience in metal fabrication, and a passion for high-quality craftsmanship, we want to hear from you! This role performs general fabrication of aircraft interior detail parts and sub-assemblies, supports production efforts, and fabricates detailed components to form assemblies and/or value-added tasks. The operator will complete the assembly of complex structures using sub-assemblies and operate various fabrication machines and equipment. They will also perform skilled tasks including trimming and finishing of panels and cabinets, using aluminum trims, dec-lam, leather, and vinyl. Additionally, this role assists in leading a team on projects, production planning, layout, organizational setup, progress reporting, and departmental coordination. The operator promotes quality craftsmanship, accurately interprets complex blueprints and process specifications, and assists in ensuring the crew is properly equipped. They provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced fabricators, give direct feedback to management, and display behavior in alignment with the company code of conduct. This position works under minimal supervision and requires wearing safety equipment and practicing safety guidelines, including Hazardous Materials guidelines. Regular attendance is expected.
