About The Position

The Press Machine Operator is a key player in the production process, ensuring efficient and precise operation of our Press Machine. Reporting directly to the Production Lead, they are responsible for maintaining high-quality machine outputs, maintaining equipment, and supporting a safe and organized work environment. This role requires mechanical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of experience in operating hydraulic presses or plastic fabricating machinery is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong reporting and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Capable of physically lifting parts up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain standing for prolonged periods of time.
• Strong manual dexterity.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Technical or vocational training or certification in machine operation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor the Press Machine.
• Load raw materials, unload finished products, and trim excess material.
• Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Inspect parts during operations to ensure proper tolerance and specifications.
• Accurately record production data such as output timesheets, scrap, and downtime.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and suggest opportunities for improvement.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S practices.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and defective equipment or materials to a leader.
• Participate in safety training and actively apply safe work practices.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, leaders, and managers.
• Support other production areas as needed to meet overall production targets and objectives.
• Provide feedback on production methods to improve efficiency and quality.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
