About The Position

The Press Helper supports the lead press operator to ensure continuous operation of the press. The role is scheduled for second shift, working four 10-hour shifts, and pays $19–$24 per hour. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, reach, twist, stoop, and perform repetitive movements.
Ability to safely work around moving machinery and production equipment.
Ability to maintain visual attention to detail and product quality.

Nice To Haves

Trade or vocational school.
1–2 years of production or press-related experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the lead press operator with feeder-end setup, including setting rails, brushes, wheels, and the double-sheet detector, and loading stock.
Prepare and hang plates, assist with blanket washing, and clean the back cylinder.
Continuously preload the feeder to enable quick pile changes during press runs.
Work with the press operator to gather job tickets, plate files, color proofs, and necessary inks.
Mix inks when necessary, prepare ink units, and maintain ink levels during production runs.
Perform routine press maintenance and assist other press operators with paper handling as needed.
Follow safety policies and procedures and maintain good housekeeping practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
