About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting the press operator with various tasks to ensure smooth production. The Press Feeder will be responsible for preparing the press with necessary materials, maintaining ink levels, and managing printed materials. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Requirements

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Proficiency in using hand tools.

• Ability to operate a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Review work order or receive verbal instructions to determine ink, stock, and equipment needed for production.
• Assist press operator with press setup, including hanging plates and blankets on press cylinders using hand tools.
• Keep the press supplied with top-quality paper stock.
• Pour ink into printing unit reservoirs and maintain the ink agitator.
• Remove loaded pallets of printed material from the stacking mechanism using a pallet jack and replace with an empty pallet.
• Periodically assist with preventative maintenance duties.
• Pay close attention to small details throughout the process.
• Clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
