About The Position

This role involves assisting the press operator in various tasks related to the printing production process. The Press Feeder is responsible for preparing materials, maintaining the press, and ensuring the quality and safety of the work environment. Requirements

• Ability to review work orders or receive verbal instructions.
• Proficiency in using hand tools for press setup.
• Ability to maintain attention to detail.
• Capability to clean and maintain machinery and work areas.
• Physical ability to operate a pallet jack and handle paper stock.

Responsibilities

• Review work order or receive verbal instructions to determine ink, stock, and equipment needed for production.
• Assist press operator with press setup, including hanging plates and blankets on press cylinders using hand tools.
• Keep the press supplied with top-quality paper stock.
• Pour ink into reservoirs of printing units and maintain the ink agitator.
• Remove loaded pallets of printed material from the stacking mechanism using a pallet jack and replace with empty pallets.
• Periodically assist with preventative maintenance duties.
• Pay close attention to small details throughout the process.
• Clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
