About The Position

Compumeric engineering is seeking a CNC Press Brake Set-Up Operator. Ideal candidate will be skilled in performing set-ups, reading blueprints, using a tape measurer and calipers, and can perform set-ups on multiple machines including CNC Bystronic press brake. We’re looking for a long-term candidate who is capable to lead the press brake area, assigning setup and controlling production floor job orders.

Requirements

Skilled in performing set-ups
Skilled in reading blueprints
Skilled in using a tape measurer and calipers
Capable of performing set-ups on multiple machines including CNC Bystronic press brake
Good math skills related to equipment set-up, readings and analysis
Demonstrated ability with precision measurement equipment
3+ years’ experience setting up Press Brake Machines necessary

Nice To Haves

Programming controls
Ability to communicate with others in English and Spanish is highly preferred

Responsibilities

Proven and efficient capability setting up complex press brake equipment with heads up instrument panels along with CNC editing, troubleshooting, and preferably programming controls.
Must have good math skills related to equipment set-up, readings and analysis.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Demonstrated ability with precision measurement equipment.
Maintains area hygiene above industry standards.
Develop and solid employee morale and safety awareness.
Adheres to safety and environmental rules.
Performs general housekeeping.
Ability to lead others in performing operations, set-up, training, and scheduling assigned work.
Ability to communicate with others in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned as appropriate and necessary.
Will prepare set-up and assign press brake work for his/her co-workers.
