About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our client's manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating press brake machines to accurately bend and shape sheet metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications.

Requirements

• Proficiency in operating press brake machines along with CNC programming skills specific to bending operations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of tooling setup, calibration, and maintenance of fabrication equipment.
• Familiarity with basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations in fabrication processes.
• Competence in using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of sheet metal properties, fabrication techniques, welding procedures, and quality inspection standards.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts and cranes safely.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety protocols combined with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine bending requirements and tooling setups.
• Operate press brake machinery safely and efficiently, adjusting settings as needed for different materials and project specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform minor repairs to minimize downtime.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Perform quality inspections on finished parts using measurement tools and visual assessments before final assembly or shipment.
• Maintain accurate production records, tooling logs, and inspection reports for traceability and process improvement.
• Assist with other fabrication tasks including welding, sheet metal cutting (CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting), and assembly as required.
