About The Position

The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for fabricating custom parts using a variety of machines in the Production - Fabrication department. This role involves receiving instructions, handling raw materials, setting up and operating machinery, and maintaining a safe work area. The operator will work at different workstations as needed and assist with special projects. This is a 2nd shift position, working Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Able to read and understand flat patterns and prints
  • Ability to prepare and run complex bend set ups and forming operations
  • Capable of using all press brake features which includes but not limited to bending at angles, step bends, proper back gauge transfer between steps, delays etc.
  • Experienced and competent using measuring instruments such as micrometers, Vernier calipers and angle measurement instruments
  • Ability to read quality documents and drawings
  • Follow drawings, understand verbal directions
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Proficient computer skills

  • Technical certification
  • Experience in set up and operating CNC press brakes
  • Trumpf and Amada exposure
  • General knowledge of workplace safety

Responsibilities

  • Fabricating custom parts using a variety of machines including Press Brake, Pem Machine, Spot Weld, Deburring/Sanding Equipment
  • Receive written and verbal instruction on priority of orders
  • Receive, check, and handle raw material from inventory, as needed
  • Load, install, and correctly set up the tools to produce parts to print
  • Set-up for daily work according to production schedule or verbal instructions
  • Works at different workstations as job requires
  • Maintains a clean safe work area
  • Move finished goods to other inventory or work areas
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by supervisor
