About The Position

Falcon Steel is looking for a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our precision fabrication team. This is a critical role responsible for forming high-quality steel components used in a variety of industrial applications. As an operator on our 3rd shift, you will take the lead on complex bends, working closely with a material handler to maintain high production speeds while ensuring every angle meets our strict tolerance standards. We are looking for a "craftsman" mindset—someone who understands how metal behaves under pressure and takes pride in the accuracy of their work. 3rd shift is 10 pm - 6 am.

Requirements

2–5 years of experience operating CNC Press Brakes in a production environment.
Proven ability to read structural and mechanical blueprints, including an understanding of bend deductions and flat patterns.
Strong grasp of shop math, including geometry and decimals, to calculate proper bend sequences.
Understanding of how different materials (carbon steel, stainless, aluminum) react to forming, including "spring-back" adjustments.
Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts and lift/manipulate large steel sheets in coordination with a helper.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC hydraulic press brakes (e.g., Amada, Cincinnati, or Trumpf) to bend, notch, and form metal plates.
Select, install, and align correct punches and dies based on material thickness and required radius.
Read and interpret complex blueprints and 3D drawings to determine the correct bend sequence and dimensions.
Perform "first-part" inspections and regular checks using calipers, protractors, and go/no-go gauges to maintain tolerances (often within +/- .015").
Perform routine machine maintenance, including checking oil levels and cleaning the bed and tooling to ensure longevity and safety.
