About The Position

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating machines to ensure the highest quality of production is achieved. This role involves reviewing daily manufacturing functions and job orders, obtaining necessary materials and tools, and ensuring the safe operation of equipment. The operator will also recommend improvements, report any issues to their supervisor, and maintain a full working knowledge of all processes and a clean work environment. Professional conduct in accordance with company guidelines is expected, along with performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong team work.
Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.
Basic ability to understand blue prints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.

Nice To Haves

Two plus years of experience in a relevant manufacturing setting.
Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.

Obtain necessary materials and tools required to achieve expected run rates.
Ensure the safe operation of equipment.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
