About The Position
MVS Metals, a division of Owen Industries, is looking for a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team in Sioux City, IA. This is a 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM), offering full-time pay and benefits while providing Fridays off.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a metal fabrication role
- Ability to read blueprints and work from written specifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
- Ability to troubleshoot and make adjustments on the fly
- Commitment to safety — for yourself and your teammates
- Physical capability to stand, lift (up to 50+ lbs), and operate machinery throughout the shift
Responsibilities
- Operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape metal components to specification
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to ensure accurate, quality parts every time
- Set up, program, and adjust machines; verify equipment programs against work orders prior to production
- Inspect finished parts and maintain high quality standards throughout the process
- Train and guide new team members on machine setup and safe operation
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and in compliance with all safety standards
