About The Position

The Press Brake Operator operates and maintains hydraulic press brake equipment and supports production through the fabrication and assembly of metal components. The role safely bends and forms metal products to specification while maintaining quality and production standards. The schedule is 2nd shift, working four 10-hour shifts.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Strong mathematical skills, including fraction and decimal conversions.
Ability to use measuring instruments and inspection tools accurately.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including shift work and occasional weekends.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 2 years of hydraulic press brake operating experience preferred.
Experience working with sheet metal preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Basic mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills preferred.
Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely set up, operate, and troubleshoot hydraulic press brake equipment.
Perform mechanical die changes efficiently to minimize downtime.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production specifications.
Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and measurements.
Perform quality checks, including measurements, weight, density, and dimensional verification using measuring tools and mathematical calculations.
Complete routine preventive maintenance, including fluid checks and machine cleanups, and report equipment concerns or malfunctions.
Accurately record production data, including piece counts, downtime, and completion times.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
Maintain consistent production output while meeting safety and quality expectations.
Assist with general production and assembly tasks as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
