About The Position

FlexForce Pros is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our prominent metal fabrication shop production team in the greater New Orleans area. This role involves setting up and operating press brake equipment to bend and form sheet metal components while meeting quality, safety, and production standards.

Requirements

• High School Education or GED required
• Prior experience operating press brakes in a metal fabrication environment
• Ability to read blueprints and understand bend allowances and tolerances
• Experience working with steel, aluminum, and stainless materials preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in fabrication
• Able to work independently and as part of a production team
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal parts according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and production orders
• Determine correct bend sequences, angles, and tolerances
• Measure materials and finished parts using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers to ensure accuracy
• Inspect completed parts for quality and dimensional compliance
• Handle raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and keep machines in proper working condition
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area
• Follow all shop safety procedures and quality standards
