About The Position
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for processing and bending sheet metal to part specification using Amada and Mitsubishi press brake machines.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of shop math, units of measurement, etc
- Ability to read and interpret prints, specs, diagrams, etc
- Strong attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-4 years of experience operating Amada press brakes or similar
Nice To Haves
- Technical school certificate preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties in a safe manner and promotes “Safety First” mentality across team
- Read and understand Operation Manual relating to tool selection and machine routine maintenance
- Read and interpret prints, diagrams, and work orders to make appropriate adjustments to machine and tooling to ensure proper bends
- Utilize machine computer to retrieve and load programs
- Partner with QC Inspectors to ensure First Article Inspections are being performed, make adjustments as needed to correct defects
- Maintain a clean working area, machine, and tooling
- Accurately complete fabrication records, traveler papers, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by management
