Limited setup knowledge is acceptable when initially bidding for the position, but candidates must have at least six months of machine-operation experience. The operator must be able to perform basic press brake equipment setups within six months of starting and continue developing skills in more advanced setups. Established efficiency and productivity standards must be met. Determine the sequence of bends for multiple-pass work involving bends at different angles and in different planes.
