About The Position

RRD is a leading global provider of marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions. This role is for a Press Assistant on the 3rd shift, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of printing equipment by supplying materials and providing basic assistance during setup and operation. The position involves handling paper, inks, glues, plates, and other components, as well as performing basic maintenance and cleanup tasks. The hours for this position are Sunday - Thursday from 11 pm to 7 am, with a shift premium of $3 per hour and a $1000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

Requires basic knowledge of presswork procedures and materials learned through on the job training
Ability to follow instructions to assist in press set up, operation and maintenance
Able to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers, and hydraulic feed mechanisms

Responsibilities

Ensure paper or raw materials (inks, glues, etc.) are loaded into feeders, hoppers, bins, etc. to supply a constant flow of materials while the equipment is running
Make adjustments to equipment such as feeder mechanism based on the size of the paper
Deliver equipment components such as plates or spray heads to the equipment for installation
Recycle old/discarded plates
Provide basic assistance as needed to make-ready the equipment for operation
Assist with retrieving plates, hanging plates and recycling/storing plates and other tasks associated with make-ready of the plates
