About The Position

RRD is a leading global provider of marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions. This role is for a Press Assistant in Material Handling within the Press Service department. The position involves inspecting and preparing paper rolls, assisting with shipments, making cartons, and maintaining a clean work environment. The role also includes adhering to safety policies and potentially training to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. The hours are Monday to Friday, 3 pm to 11 pm, with a shift premium.

Requirements

Must be able to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous forklift experience highly preferred but not required.
Previous experience in a printing environment preferred.
Some experience in the operation of various hand tools preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect warehouse for unwrapped rolls, missing tappis, damaged rolls and stacking.
Check, fix and re-tape outer wraps if needed on rolls, relabel, cut down damage product.
Assist warehouse person as needed to prioritize receiving shipments.
Inspect paper rolls that you are receiving to insure accuracy of product being received and not damaged.
Carton making as needed.
Ability to be a self-starter and work with limited supervision and complete required tasks on a daily basis.
Shred printed documents, Clean up, sweep floor and Aisle throughout your scheduled shift.
Assist Press service and Material handlers as needed.
Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.
Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Will train to operate a fork truck, clamp truck, and walker/ryder.
