About The Position

GKN Aerospace is reimagining air travel and is committed to sustainability. The Preset Tooling Driver is responsible for picking up and delivering cutting tools and holders to and from machine shops and the Preset Tooling Department using a special golf cart. This role operates on a weekend shift, Friday through Sunday, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Requirements

• Must be US Citizen due to ITAR compliance.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to drive a long wheelbase golf cart safely throughout the facility.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Good attitude.
• Excellent Attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver cutting tools and holders to and from machine shops and the Preset Tooling Department.
• Review TOS (Tool Ordering System) and advise Preset personnel of Expedite and Emergency tool orders.
• Take direction from Preset personnel regarding priorities for pick-up and delivery.
• Use computer to access and print Tool sheets of tools to be picked up.
• Carefully place sharp cutting tools in order in the golf cart for deliveries.
• Add labeling cards (Green and Red) to identify tool cart status.
• Pull necessary tools from vending machines to fulfill orders.
• Communicate with Peers and Management about obstacles in troubled areas of the factory.
• Maintain a clean and organized golf cart.
• Maintain a clean and safe work space.
• Work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
