About The Position

As the Prescription Department Manager, you will compound and dispense medications and other pharmaceuticals on-site at our CenterWell clinic. This role serves as the in-person Pharmacist-in-charge/Retail Pharmacist Lead for the clinic. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining all necessary records on prescriptions, patient charges, and inventory. You will provide information to staff members on drugs and pharmaceuticals, and directly interact with patients, providers, and medical staff on-site. The role involves advising executives on functional strategies, exercising independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues with minimal supervision, and managing and providing daily oversight to on-site Pharmacy Technicians. You will report to the Associate Director, Retail Pharmacy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
  • Active Pharmacist license from the Florida Board of Pharmacy
  • 4 or more years of experience as a pharmacist (Retail, ambulatory and/or clinical pharmacy settings)
  • 1 or more years of leadership experience (I.e. Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacy Supervisor, Lead)
  • Must be a certified Immunizer
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • Must possess excellent networking skills

Responsibilities

  • Compound and dispense medications and other pharmaceuticals on-site.

  • Advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
  • Exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job tasks and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
  • Manage and provide daily oversight to the on-site Pharmacy Technician(s).
