Requirements

Current RN license in Utah.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in surgical or pre-operative settings.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, medication management, and patient assessment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough telephone interviews with patients to collect data relevant to their health and surgical history.
Review and document patient medications, allergies, and any other pertinent information.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons’ offices, cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and primary care physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Assess patients for any risks related to surgery and recommend necessary follow-up actions.
Educate patients about pre-surgical preparations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
