About The Position

This role involves conducting thorough telephone interviews with patients to collect data relevant to their health and surgical history, reviewing and documenting patient medications, allergies, and any other pertinent information. The nurse will collaborate effectively with surgeons’ offices, cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and primary care physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care. The position also requires assessing patients for any risks related to surgery, recommending necessary follow-up actions, educating patients about pre-surgical preparations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with healthcare regulations, and participating in interdisciplinary team meetings.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in Utah.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in surgical or pre-operative settings.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, medication management, and patient assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
