About The Position
The Guild of St. Agnes is seeking an EEC Certified Preschool Teacher at its Salem Covenant location in Worcester, Massachusetts. The agency provides early education and care, with a mission to offer families quality and affordable childcare in a safe, nurturing environment. The teacher will shape the classroom environment within agency guidelines by leading, coordinating, and making decisions that help develop and maintain a quality early childhood program. The role involves supporting the Lead Teacher and sharing classroom decision-making to create a plan that is best for the children. Successful completion of an EEC background check is required.
Requirements
- EEC certification as a Preschool Teacher.
- College-level coursework in Child Growth and Development.
- A minimum of 9 months of experience working with infant, toddler, or preschool children.
- Successfully complete an EEC background check.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, remaining alert to their needs as individuals and as a group.
- Support the Lead Teacher in creating and implementing an exciting and enriching learning environment for children.
- Share in classroom decision-making and find a mutually agreeable plan that is best for the children.
- Lead, coordinate, and make decisions to develop and maintain a quality early childhood program within agency guidelines.
