About The Position

We're looking for a dedicated EEC Certified Preschool Teacher to join our warm early childhood education center in Kingston. Requirements

  • EEC Preschool Certification or CDA required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting
  • A nurturing demeanor and a love for preschoolers and their development
  • A minimum of one year of experience working in a preschool classroom, supporting age-appropriate curriculum, social-emotional growth, and cognitive and motor development
  • Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within the operating hours of the school, including opening and closing shifts
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
  • Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with your co-teacher to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, and materials
  • Providing engaging, age-appropriate activities that support each preschooler's development
  • Keeping parents informed and building positive relationships with children and families
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly classroom environment
  • Assisting with daily routines, including meals, bathroom needs, and naptime
  • Tracking children's progress and completing required assessments
  • Maintaining your EEC-required professional development hours and PQ registry
  • Helping preschoolers build confidence, independence, and early social and communication skills
