About The Position

Jefferson West Preschool is seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to join our team as a Preschool Teacher for 4 year olds.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Valid teaching certification.
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to various classroom environments and manage diverse student needs.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and professionalism.
• Background check clearance as per school district/ state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans to ensure students' learning objectives are met.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a respectful and productive learning environment.
• Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional activities, including recess and lunch.
• Provide support to students with diverse learning needs, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding classroom activities and student progress.
• Complete daily attendance and any required documentation accurately.
• Collaborate with school staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
• Uphold school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all students.
