Catholic Preschool (PK3) Teacher
About The Position
Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is seeking a part-time Preschool Teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic PK3 classroom for 13 hours per week near Kansas City in Overland Park, Kansas. This is a part-time, hourly position with childcare/nursery provided. RCA is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines are provided, and tutors are trained to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. All staff complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching. Tutors must be willing to prepare for classes at home and come to class prepared to teach in a highly structured environment. Mandatory training days are August 12, 13, and 14, 2026, from 8 am to 5 pm.
Requirements
- Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
- Must have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
- Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Must have good organization.
- Must be timely.
- Must have a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
- Must complete a background check.
- Must complete RCA Safe Child training.
- Must be available to attend 3 mandatory training days on August 12, 13, and 14, 2026 (8am-5pm).
