About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) is seeking a part-time Preschool Teacher for a classical and Catholic PK3 classroom, located near Kansas City in Overland Park, Kansas. This role involves teaching 13 hours per week on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. RCA is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting. While formal teaching certification or experience is not required, the academy will provide all necessary training. The position is hourly, and childcare is provided during working hours. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines will be provided, and tutors will be trained in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, good organization, punctuality, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be actively living the Catholic faith, including having received all appropriate sacraments. All staff must complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching. Tutors are expected to prepare for classes at home and teach in a highly structured environment. Mandatory training days are scheduled for August 12, 13, and 14, 2026, from 8 am to 5 pm, with no childcare provided during training, though nursing infants are welcome.

Requirements

• Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
