About The Position

As a Preschool Teacher at Celebree School, you will create a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for preschool-aged children. You will develop and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities, encourage learning through play, and support children’s communication, early literacy, curiosity, and exploration. You will also maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and communicate with families about children’s development and progress. The role offers hands-on experience in classroom leadership, curriculum implementation, child development, and family engagement. You will work with a collaborative team and receive support and mentoring from an experienced School Director and leadership team, including coaching, professional development, individual growth plans, and career pathways. You may also help classroom aides develop toward becoming Celebree teachers.

Requirements

Meet the requirements to be a lead teacher as approved by the governing state agency.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of children’s behavioral and developmental stages.
Knowledge of childcare licensing requirements.
Ability to manage a classroom.
Strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
Patience and flexibility.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement creative, developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children.
Create a warm, welcoming, inclusive classroom where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves and learn through play.
Include language-rich activities, storytelling, and early literacy experiences in daily routines.
Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the classroom, materials, equipment, and play areas.
Establish ongoing communication with parents and share insights, updates, and information about children’s development.
Help classroom aides grow toward becoming Celebree teachers.
Support Celebree School’s mission, vision, and values in classroom activities.
