About The Position

At Parc Center for Disabilities, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and experience life to the fullest. Our Discovery Learning Center is a warm, inclusive preschool serving children ages 2 months to 5 years, including children with diverse abilities. We are currently seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Preschool Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and inclusion. Requirements

Associate Degree in a related field or CDA (Child Development Associate)
DCF 45 Clock Hours Required
Experience supporting children with disabilities in an educational or childcare setting
Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
Ability to meet physical demands of the role (standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., active supervision)
Level II Background Check required
Drug-Free Workplace
Screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse

Responsibilities

Creating a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued
Planning and leading engaging lessons using the Creative Curriculum, including music, art, sensory play, and hands-on learning
Supporting children with diverse needs using positive behavior support strategies
Tracking developmental progress using Teaching Strategies Gold
Building strong partnerships with families through open communication and conferences
Maintaining accurate documentation and records to support individualized learning
Collaborating with fellow teachers, therapists, and leadership as part of a mission-driven team
Following Pinellas County Childcare Licensing Standards and all safety requirements
