The Teacher is responsible to provide an appropriate educational atmosphere which encourages positive student learning and to participate in a dynamic setting with other classroom teachers, administrators, curriculum specialists and other staff members in the development and implementation of the school’s programs and goals. This role involves working with administrators and instructional teams to plan and implement hands-on lesson plans for students, diagnosing and analyzing for the purpose of providing appropriate instruction, and utilizing a variety of instructional techniques to meet the individual needs of students. The teacher will assess student progress, utilize classroom management techniques, and participate in professional development programs. Cooperation with the principal and staff members in school-related meetings, activities, and projects is expected. Maintaining accurate student academic and attendance records, as well as a safe, orderly, and secure learning environment, is crucial. The position also involves participating in performance reviews, maintaining confidentiality, fostering professional relationships with parents, and encouraging parental involvement. Record keeping, assisting in the protection of student and school property, staying updated on technology, monitoring students in a testing environment, and performing all tasks in accordance with Diocesan Catholic Schools policies are also key responsibilities. The teacher will perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
