Our program is licensed by the state of Massachusetts, and we are accredited by the Council on Accreditation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Related Field
  • EEC Teacher Certified or ability to obtain within 9 months
  • Extremely detailed and accuracy-oriented
  • Exceptional work ethic
  • Ability to create a warm, welcoming and positive culture
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others, collaborate and remain calm under pressure
  • Team-oriented player with a positive attitude and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates developmentally appropriate curriculum schedules alongside the classroom Lead Teacher.
  • Maintains EEC regulations.
  • Performs teaching responsibilities.
  • Ensures daily operation of the classroom are safe, encouraging positive interactions and productive educational activities.
  • Responsible for children’s care and supervision.
  • Addresses, monitors and documents issues, concerns and problems of each individual child and discusses with the Lead Teacher/ Program Director.
  • Develops and maintains a positive and confidential relationship with the families of every child, including through communication about the school and each child’s progress.
  • Encourages parent interest and involvement in the school. Seeks a partnership with parents. Maintains confidentiality.
  • Supports Lead Teacher in completing children’s evaluations as required.
  • Maintains accurate knowledge of documentation in children’s files. Meets with parents during the year with the Lead Teacher as required.
  • Supports Lead Teacher in creating and distributing in a timely manner classroom information for families, including: classroom newsletter, calendar and curriculum new and notices.
  • Adheres to all established policies, procedures and code of ethics.
  • Participates in required training programs, conferences, courses or other aspects of professional growth.
  • Attends faculty meetings as required.
  • Attends to individual needs of children in classroom environment including hygiene and personal care activities as needed.
  • Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any suspicion of child abuse or neglect to the Director for follow through.
  • Other duties as required.
