About The Position
The Upper Marlboro Community Center is seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and dependable Part - Time Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must successfully complete all required background checks and meet Maryland childcare licensing requirements.
Nice To Haves
- 90-Hour Child Care Certification
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities.
- Foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff.
- Follow all licensing regulations, policies, and procedures
