About The Position
Discovery Kidzone is seeking a passionate and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team at DKZ North in Bozeman. As a DKZ Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to create your own classroom environments, develop meaningful learning experiences, build strong relationships with families, and mentor and collaborate with fellow educators while working with a supportive leadership team. Requirements
- Previous experience as a Preschool Teacher or Lead Teacher in a licensed childcare or early learning program
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Experience planning and implementing preschool curriculum
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Organized, dependable, and team-oriented
- Positive and collaborative leadership style
- Passion for working with preschool-aged children
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to complete all required Montana licensing, training, and background check requirements
Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming, engaging classroom where children feel confident, curious, and excited to learn.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily learning experiences
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development
- Encourage creativity, independence, confidence, and positive peer relationships
- Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families through regular communication
- Mentor and support Assistant Teachers while promoting teamwork and collaboration
- Maintain an organized classroom that meets health, safety, and Montana licensing requirements
- Partner with center leadership to provide high-quality early childhood education
