About The Position

Discovery Isle Preschool is seeking a creative and passionate full-time Preschool Teacher to join its team of educators. The preschool program balances learning and play to help children develop academic and social skills that prepare them for Pre-K and beyond. The teacher inspires curiosity, nurtures confidence, and creates meaningful learning experiences for young learners. The position requires performing essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have an awarded high school diploma or GED.
Must meet at least one of the following: complete 12 Core Early Childhood Education (ECE) units as required by the state of California; hold an awarded Child Development Associate (CDA) in preschool; or have at least 6 months of prior teaching experience in a licensed childcare center.
Nurturing personality, patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with babies.
Authorization to work in the United States.

Design and deliver engaging lessons that promote exploration, early literacy, and critical thinking.
Encourage independence and collaboration through hands-on, play-based learning.
Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families.
Partner with fellow teachers and school leaders to create a warm, inclusive classroom environment.
