About The Position
The Learning Experience – Gainesville is seeking a dependable Preschool Teacher to support a structured classroom serving children ages 3–5. This role focuses on helping children develop confidence, independence, and foundational academic skills through engaging routines and hands-on learning experiences. This position is ideal for educators who enjoy working in a collaborative teaching environment and supporting kindergarten readiness development.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Prior childcare experience required
- Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Support daily classroom routines for preschool-aged children
- Implement developmentally appropriate learning activities
- Encourage early literacy, math readiness, and social-emotional growth
- Guide children through learning centers, meals, and classroom transitions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom updates
- Collaborate with teaching team members and center leadership
- Follow Virginia licensing and safety requirements
