About The Position

Simon Says Early Childhood Center is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate educational activities that support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Ability to meet all state licensing and background screening requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development and early childhood education best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and staff.
  • Passion for working with young children and helping them reach developmental milestones.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support early childhood development.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning through play and exploration.
  • Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development.
  • Use positive behavior management techniques to promote respect, cooperation, and self-confidence.
  • Observe, assess, and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and student records.
  • Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and center policies.
  • Supervise children at all times, including during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and field trips.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support the overall mission and goals of the center.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
