About The Position

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Part-Time Preschool Teacher to support the learning and development of young children in a safe, nurturing classroom environment. The ideal candidate has a passion for early childhood education, enjoys working with young children, and fosters creativity, curiosity, and social-emotional growth. Requirements

  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children
  • Minimum of 12 core Early Childhood Education (ECE) units and Infant and Toddler class
  • Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
  • Familiarity with Title 22 licensing regulations, health, safety, and sanitation practices
  • Ability to balance creativity with structure and classroom management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, cooperative relationships with children, families, and staff
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must meet California Community Care Licensing requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to create routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents, employees, and school administration.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs;
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidence.
  • Must be organized and detailed.
  • Must possess skills in working with culturally and ethnically diverse groups.
  • Must possess strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess adaptability and creative responses to setbacks and obstacles.
  • Must have personal time management skills and motivation to work toward goals.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.

  • Classroom placement (Infant, Toddler, or Preschool) will be determined based on experience and center needs

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate, creative lesson plans, including daily worship
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and support children in age-appropriate problem-solving
  • Support children’s social-emotional development, confidence, and self-esteem
  • Guide children in developing artistic, cognitive, and practical life skills
  • Supervise children while actively engaging in intentional teaching and play-based learning
  • Observe, recognize, and document significant individual and group behaviors
  • Track children’s progress and communicate development with families
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with parents, encouraging engagement
  • Collaborate effectively with the teaching team
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment, including care of materials and equipment
  • Support daily classroom routines and transitions
  • Follow all licensing regulations and center policies
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development
