About The Position
Contra Costa Christian Schools (CCCS) is seeking a full-time, year-round Preschool Teacher for its campus in Walnut Creek, CA. This position operates within the CCCS academic calendar, including Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Break Camps, as well as Summer Camp. It is a team-teaching role designed for collaboration, mutual learning, and a supportive work environment. CCCS Preschool Teachers are expected to be energetic, nurturing, reliable, professional, and passionate about children and teaching in a Christ-centered environment. They should be enthusiastic about building a strong foundational curriculum for beginning learners and must have prior teaching experience.
Requirements
- 12+ ECE Units or higher
- 6 months experience
- CPR Certification
- Commitment to the Christian faith aligning with CCCS statement of faith
Responsibilities
- Work with a team to implement Preschool and Pre-K curriculum, teach, and administer all required duties for safe and effective operation of the preschool.
- Adapt activities and support to meet the diverse needs of each child.
- Supervise lunch, play time, and other events as assigned.
- Maintain open communication with parents and provide updates on child development.
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom to foster a conducive learning environment.
- Follow established protocols for preschool operations.
- Other duties as assigned by the Preschool Director.
