About The Position

We are looking for experienced assistant teachers to join our private programs teaching team for the 2026-2027 school year. Teachers are contracted for 10 months from Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:45pm. Staff will have the option to add to their salary by working before/after care and/or summer camp.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED
First Aid /CPR certified, if not willing to get it within 90 days of employment
At least 1 year experience working in preschool/childcare setting
Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma.

Nice To Haves

CDA or bachelor's in education preferred
Experience with Judaic knowledge is a plus
An CDA, associates or bachelor's degree is preferred.
Childcare: 2 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Work under the direction of the lead teacher in a Jewish preschool program that serves students 18 months to PreK
Responsible for the safety and security of the students at all times
Assist with toileting, cleaning, and sanitizing in accordance with licensing standards
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Assist in making daily observations
Gain knowledge of the preschool curriculum and Judaic content provided
Interact and play with children in a positive calm manner
Attend staff development, meetings and other required trainings for needed professional development hours
Follow the state licensing and grow NJ kid expectations
