Preschool Teacher Assistant (full-time)
About The Position
High Point Christian School (HPCS) is seeking a candidate to support our Full Day 3K/4K Preschool Class five days a week for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God. This position is intended to be full-time and serve in the preschool classroom. High Point Christian School was founded in 1975 as a ministry of what is now High Point Church, a non-denominational, evangelical fellowship serving the greater Madison area. Our schools offer safe, caring and Christ-centered environments for grades 3K-8th. Madison consistently ranks among the best in the nation for almost everything including fantastic bike trails, safe neighborhoods, great healthcare, excellent education, amazing music venues, and diverse restaurants.
Requirements
- Shows evidence of Christian maturity
- Has a strong grasp of the essence of Christian education
- Meets any State and ACSI requirements and qualifications for assistant teachers (classes available)
- Desire to work with early education students in all capacities
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree with credits in education from an accredited college and/or university
- Three to five years of experience with students
- Basic first aid and CPR/AED training
