Preschool Soccer Coach
About The Position
Soccer Shots is looking for a passionate part-time soccer coach for preschool and young elementary age children. This role involves bringing "Soccer Island" alive with enthusiasm and creativity, conducting soccer classes for children aged 2 to 8, and encouraging character development through positive reinforcement. Coaches will utilize an expert-created curriculum and early childhood development techniques, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and follow all on-site safety and attendance protocols. Effective communication with supervisors, families, and teachers is essential. The role also requires transporting oneself and equipment to class locations, setting up, and tearing down fields.
Requirements
- Experience working with preschool age children.
- Genuine passion for children and sports.
- Energetic, engaging, responsible and safety conscious.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of kids ages 2-8.
- Drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand, jog, and model children’s soccer skills.
- Coaches must have or obtain state-required background clearances.
Responsibilities
- Bring “Soccer Island” alive with your enthusiasm and creativity.
- Conduct soccer classes for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set-up and take-down.
- Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling.
- Attend seasonal training sessions and mid-season refreshers at our clubhouse.
- Utilize expert-created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques in every session.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Follow all on-site safety and attendance protocols.
- Communicate effectively with supervisor, families, and teachers.
- Transport self and equipment to class location, setup and tear down field
