About The Position

Soccer Shots is seeking a passionate, part-time soccer coach for preschool and young elementary age children. This role involves bringing "Soccer Island" to life with enthusiasm and creativity, conducting soccer classes for children aged 2 to 8, and fostering character development through positive reinforcement. Coaches will utilize an expert-created curriculum and early childhood development techniques, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. Responsibilities include field set-up and take-down, attending training sessions, and effective communication with supervisors, families, and teachers. The ideal candidate will have experience with preschool-aged children, a genuine passion for children and sports, and be energetic, engaging, responsible, and safety-conscious. A driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to stand, jog, and model soccer skills are required. Coaches must also obtain state-required background clearances.

Requirements

Experience working with preschool age children.
Genuine passion for children and sports.
Energetic, engaging, responsible and safety conscious.
Ability to adapt to the needs of kids ages 2-8.
Drivers license and reliable transportation.
Ability to stand, jog, and model children’s soccer skills.
Coaches must have or obtain state-required background clearances.

Responsibilities

Conduct soccer classes for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set-up and take-down.
Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling.
Attend seasonal training sessions and mid-season refreshers.
Utilize expert-created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques in every session.
Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
Follow all on-site safety and attendance protocols.
Communicate effectively with supervisor, families, and teachers.
Transport self and equipment to class location, setup and tear down field.
