About The Position

SHIFT: Mondays thru Fridays 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Do you love working with young children and being part of those big end-of-day smiles? Merritt Academy is looking for warm, energetic professionals who are passionate about early childhood and excited to make a positive impact—one drop off at a time. Our Preschool Runners play a key role in our school community by safely and joyfully escorting children from their parents to their classrooms at the start of the day. You will be a friendly face families look forward to seeing and an important part of each child’s daily routine. If you enjoy staying active, connecting with children, and being part of a supportive, mission-driven school, we would love to meet you.

Requirements

• A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
• Must be physically able to lift and carry a minimum of 45 pounds, engage in physical activity with children, and work indoors or outdoors.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Pass pre-employment screenings and trainings as required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children preferred.
• Must be able to alternate often between sitting and standing.

Responsibilities

• Constantly move and interact with the children to provide stimulation and develop relationships.
