About The Position

Merritt Academy is seeking warm, energetic professionals who are passionate about early childhood and excited to make a positive impact. Our Preschool Runners play a key role in our school community by safely and joyfully escorting children from their parents to their classrooms at the start of the day. You will be a friendly face families look forward to seeing and an important part of each child’s daily routine. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, connecting with children, and being part of a supportive, mission-driven school.

Requirements

• A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
• Must be physically able to lift and carry a minimum of 45 pounds, engage in physical activity with children, and work indoors or outdoors.
• Must be able to constantly move and interact with the children to provide stimulation and develop relationships.
• Must be able to alternate often between sitting and standing.
• Must be able to maintain sight and sound of the children at all times.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Pass pre-employment screenings and trainings as required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children preferred.
