About The Position
The Paraeducator will work in the preschool classroom under the guidance of the Preschool Lead Paraeducator. This position supports classroom activities, assists with instruction, and helps maintain a safe and nurturing environment for young learners. Candidates must have internet capabilities, including access to district-provided email. (Accommodations can be made if necessary.)
Requirements
- Internet capabilities, including access to district-provided email
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or its equivalent (documentation required)
- ParaPro test must meet or exceed Washington’s qualifying score of 455
- Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics; or Knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness, as appropriate
- Completed at least 2 years of study at an institution of higher education (72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher); or Obtained an associate’s (or higher) degree
