About The Position

Little Duckling is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead or Assistant Pre-School Teachers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will help create a nurturing, fun, and positive environment that promotes the development and well-being of three and four-year-olds while adhering to State licensing, Paths to Quality 4 & Accreditation standards, as well as Little Duckling policies, procedures, and Four Core Values of Love, Community, Social Emotional, and Distinction.

Requirements

Experience in early childhood education, particularly working with preschoolers is preferred. (CDA or degree required for Lead Teacher positions.)
Be energetic, fun, and proactive, with the ability to adapt to the needs of individual children and contribute positively to the team.
Ability to follow lesson plans, be flexible to adjust activities as needed, and think quick on your feet.
Dependable. Good attendance and reliability.
Patience working with preschoolers who are still learning to manage themselves and require consistency.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents and team members.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

Create a Fun & Engaging Environment: Assist in building a classroom where children are excited to explore, learn, and interact with their peers. Bring enthusiasm and creativity to everyday activities!
Support Co-Teacher & Team: Collaborate with the co-teacher and other team members to create a cohesive and supportive environment. Help wherever needed and contribute to the overall success of the team.
Follow State Criteria & Standards: Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, Paths to Quality standards, and Little Duckling’s specific policies and procedures.
Assist in Lesson Implementation: Help execute lesson plans and be flexible and adapt lessons to fit the needs and interests of individual children.
Promote Developmental Growth: Encourage physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth in children through engaging, hands-on activities and positive reinforcement.
Communication with Parents: Support communication with parents, providing updates on their child’s progress and experiences in the classroom.
Ensure Safety & Well-Being: Supervise children at all times, ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for play and learning.
