About The Position

Seeking applicants with Ohio Early Childhood Intervention Specialist teaching license who have the ability to teach the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards using developmentally appropriate practices.

Requirements

• Valid Ohio teaching license (Pre-Kindergarten Special Needs/Early Childhood of the Handicapped)
• Must pass criminal background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
• Collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Training and understanding of Early Learning Content Standards, assessments, and child development.
• Educational technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops measurable educational goals and objectives based on assessment data and progress monitoring documentation.
• Knowledgeable about co-teaching, universal education and co-treating strategies.
• Participates in school-wide professional development programs and activities.
• Communicates with parents and guardians of assigned students daily/weekly.
• Maintains records regarding student progress that is aligned with common core state standards.
• Provides a variety of instructional experiences for all students based on individual needs and on-going data/progress monitoring.
