About The Position

This role contributes to the Y's mission by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years. The Infant/Toddler Teacher will foster each child's social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development through responsive caregiving, meaningful interactions, and developmentally appropriate experiences. This role also involves building strong partnerships with families and supporting the Y's mission of strengthening communities by helping young participants develop confidence, curiosity, and skills for success in school and life.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of early childhood education or licensed childcare experience.
• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Maryland 90-Hour Child Care Certification.

• The ability to clearly communicate and effectively listen to children, families, members, and fellow Y associates.
