About The Position

Discovery Isle Preschool is seeking a creative and passionate full-time Preschool Floater Teacher to support multiple classrooms. The preschool’s programs balance learning and play to help children develop academic and social skills that prepare them for Pre-K and beyond. The teacher inspires curiosity, nurtures confidence, and creates meaningful, purposeful learning experiences for young learners. The role requires performing essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have an awarded high school diploma or GED.
• Must meet at least one of the following: complete 12 Core Early Childhood Education (ECE) units as required by the state of California; hold an awarded Child Development Associate (CDA) in preschool; or have a minimum of 6 months of prior teaching experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Nurturing personality, patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with babies.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.
• Frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak English.
• Often carry and lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend.
• Regularly hear and use clear vision, with or without correction.
