This position involves embedding specially designed instruction and differentiating instruction through small and large group activities to align with students’ individual IEP outcomes and support student progress. The role includes managing the classroom environment by providing leadership and guidance to paraprofessionals to ensure positive student outcomes. Additionally, the teacher will participate in the identification of eligible young children by administering screenings and assessments, and completing Evaluation Report and IEP Development to ensure compliance with the Child Find mandate. Maintaining compliance of required special education paperwork, including reevaluation reports, IEP development, data collection, and other supporting documentation, is crucial for ensuring progress on student outcomes and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The role also requires staying current with new and effective practices, program procedures, laws, and regulations by attending professional development to comply with Preschool Early Intervention program requirements. Finally, the teacher will represent and promote the AIU and Preschool Early Intervention by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain relationships that effectively support families and advance student outcomes.
